AlexRech - Improvising Blues

Alex Rech is a musician/songwriter who has developed his solo career since 2003. Alex played the guitar and sung with several local Brazilian bands on many different styles (Rock, Pop, Blues, Soul, Hard Rock and Heavy Metal) He also took part in many music contests and went through lots of them. In 2003 with his band (named Catarse), Alex got classified from 4000 bands in a national music contest. In 2004 he did a gig showing his solo project at Festa Nacional da Uva (a national event) opening for Titãs (one of the most important Brazilian rock bands ever). In the same year a compilation CD with another 5 bands came out showing Alex’s songs. That was a prize for coming second in a contest for new bands which was supported by a Brazilian TV channel. In 2005 Alex got from the City Council an endorsement to record his first CD which is called Instinto Mor “Caçadores de Emoção” (Emotion Hunters). The CD has 13 songs, all of them written by him. Caçadores de Emoção came out in July 2006 alongside the official website www.alexrech.com. Living now in Edinburgh/Scotland, Alex is working on his new CD, now singing in English.
