Judges Comments

Marc displays a great combination of Eric Johnson/Vinnie Moore type opening lines, building into a great classic rock type track with some choice Slash/Schenker style licks: epic ‘traditional’ rock soloing with class. Rest assured, Marc has made the final on merit!

I’m a 22 year old guitarist from the North East of England and have been playing the guitar since I was 14 years old. I studied music technology at Newcastle College, as well as playing with my band Minnikin.

I am the lead guitarist with “Minnikin” who play melodic heavy rock with a twist of grunge. Minnikin are currently working on their album “Europa which we hope to have finished late summer. Check out www.minnikin.com or www.myspace.com/minnikin to hear our songs.

My influences in the guitar world are mainly John Petrucci, Eric Johnson, Greg Howe and Phil Thorell.
